Meaning of Purple

Purple has had many meanings to many different cultures. To you, purple may just be a cool color. However, choosing to wear purple may say a lot about your personality. Purple is also said to inspire mystery and intrigue. Royalty and spirituality is often represented by purple as well.



What does purple represent in different cultures? Here are a few examples of how the color purple is regarded around the world:

  • The Japanese see purple as a representation of wealth and prominence.
